Keyboard - Definition
A hardware device consisting of a number of mechanical buttons (keys) which the user presses to input characters to a computer. Along with the mouse, the keyboard is one of the primary input devices used with a computer. The keyboard also contains certain standard function keys, such as the Escape key, tab and cursor movement keys, shift and control keys, and sometimes other manufacturer-customized keys.
