Jukebox - Definition

A Jukebox, is a device that is designed to provide quick access to multiple CD-ROMs and/or multiple audio files that reside on a medium such as a user’s hard drive. Physically, a Jukebox ranges from simple internal drives that hold a quartet of discs to massive external systems capable of holding hundreds of discs. A Music Jukebox, as it refers to a software application, allows you to manage, play, rip, burn, buy, and discover music in one easy-to-use program. The software application also provides access to popular music services where you can download and purchase individual songs as well as albums for a fee.
