JavaScript is the scripting language of the Web and very close to Java that allows for more interaction with the viewer. It is much more forgiving than Java as doesn’t require its own window in which to work. The language is best known for its use in websites, but is also used to enable scripting access to objects embedded in other applications. JavaScript is a registered trademark of Sun Microsystems, Inc. It is used in millions of Web pages to improve the design, validate forms, create cookies, and much more.
