Hard Drive - Definition
A Hard Drive is a computer’s permanent device that is used for storing and retrieving information. This type of data storage is built into a desktop computer, storing not only personal files and programs, but also the computer’s entire operating system. Hard Drives were originally developed for use with computers and have now expanded to include digital video recorders, digital audio players, personal digital assistants, digital cameras and video game consoles. Hard drives are always expressed in Gigabytes regarding size.
