CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) - Definition
CSS is an abbreviation for Cascading Style Sheets. They allow Web developers the ability to control the style and layout of multiple Web pages all at once. Before CSS came into being, a web designer would have to make their format changes on each and every individual page. Cascading Style Sheets work just like a template where Web designers can define a style, such as emphasizing text for an HTML element, and then apply it to as many Web pages as they like. With CSS, when you want to make a change, you simply change the style, and that element is updated automatically wherever it appears within the site.
