Cookie - Definition
A Cookie is a piece of information that a web server sends to a web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox, containing data such as computer preferences, logon information, and more. Once saved, this information is sent back to the web server to be used when the browser visits that particular web site again. The web server can then use that cookie to customize the display the user sees, or simply track the various web site pages the user frequently accesses. All web browsers have a setting that allows you to block Cookies.
